We can install our backup script on GNU/Linux servers to enable backups to one of our our ZFS backup servers, providing easy access to snapshots at our hourly sysadmin rates.
We can also setup and configure S3QL to compress, encrypt, snapshot and de-duplicate data backups onto cheap Amazon S3 compatible storage space.
Snapshots of the disks of all our Sheffield based virtual servers including shared hosting and email servers are copied to a backup server nightly.
We retain 30 days' worth of snapshots and have the ability to roll back whole servers of extract specific files from snapshots. The backup servers are all encrypted and use ZFS to prevent data loss in the event of failure of a hard disk.
